Tuesday, March 14 Daytime update

  • 6:30 am- Maureen is deeply asleep.

  • 6:50 am- Maureen opened her eyes, i saw slight twitching. Placed the oxymeter on her finger. Pulse was 90 and going up. Twitching in the arms and hands became more intense, I heard the clicking sound of Maureen's tongue. At 6:52 pulse was 110, I administered 0.1 ml of Lorazepam. The pulse going up and twitching continued, At 6:59 I administered the second dose of 0.1 ml of Lorazepam as pulse picked up at 145. After couple of minutes it started going down. Pulse was 113 at 7:03. By 7:06 was 101. There was a slight twitching from time to time. The pulse stayed in the 100-105 range for about 10 minutes. At 7:16 it was 98. Maureen in falling back to sleep.

  • 7:45 am- Maureen is asleep. Pulse has been staying in the 90- 95 range.

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is asleep, pulse is 84.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is still sound asleep. Her pulse is 78.

  • 9:00 am- Maureen is still deeply asleep. Her pulse is 74.

  • 9:30 am- No change, Maureen is still sound asleep. Pulse is 72.

  • 10:30 am- Still no change, Maureen is deeply asleep.

  • 11::30 am- We repositioned Maureen on her right side. She was still sound asleep, did not open her eyes at all.

  • 12:00 pm- Maureen continues to sleep soundly.

  • 1:10 pm- We started changing Maureen . In the process she experienced a mild episode again. There was a slight twitching and pulse went up to 115. We just comforted her and waited until the pulse came in the 80-s. Finished changing , applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream , positioned her again on her right side. She was receptive to some water sips via swab. Pulse slowly came back to her normal 65-70 range. It lasted at least about 10 minutes.

  • 2:00 pm- Maureen looked alert enough to start the day. Her diaper was wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Washed her upper body, did not see any redness. Dressed and headed to the living room.

  • 2:19 pm- Administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 2:20 pm- Late lunch- broccoli and cheddar soup, bottle of coconut water. Maureen coughed twice.

  • 2:40 pm- Administered Loratadin and Lisinopril with apple sauce.

  • 2:45 pm- Oral care.

  • 2:50 pm- Facial routine.

  • 3:10 pm- Maureen is resting in the recliner, watching tv, gave us a few smiles.

  • 3:40 pm- Fresh fruit snack.
