8:00am Maureen’s asleep lying on her left side. Joanna tells me Maureen’s been in and out of sleep since 7:00am.
8:30am Maureen has her eyes opened, she is talking zips of water via swab.
8:45am Maureen is awake, we raised her bed head and administered Levothyroxine pill with apple sauce.
8:55am Joanna and I started by giving Maureen an upper body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. Diaper was dry but we changed anyway; pressure sacrum spot seem better, cleaned with damp towel and dried, applied Cavilon barrier and cream. Dressed and transferred Maureen to the kitchen.
9:15am Maureen is enjoying an oatmea/fruit smoothie and 8oz prune juice with 1/4 cap Miralax for breakfast. Coughed once.
9:35am Administered Lisinopril and loratadine with smoothie.
Daily Miralax dosage: 1/4 cap with 8oz prune juice.
9:40am Oral care an facial routine. Reclined Gery chair one notch.
Maureen’s energy level is great! She is verbal and smiley.
10:30am Maureen’s beginning to close her eyes now.
11:00am Maureen was tired during the last half hour but didn’t snooze. We take her to the bedroom for the first resting break. Changed and cleaned a md wet diaper and positioned on her right side at 11:15.
12:05pm First break ends. Diaper was dry dressed headed Maureen to the kitchen.
12:20pm Lunch: Brussels sprouts soup, hummus, beets, park crisps and Greek yogurt for dessert. Coughed once, and she finished her first cup of lemon water. During lunch we had to recline the chair, Maureen was leaning forward.
12:50 Oral care.
1:50 Maureen finished her second cup of lemon water.
2:00pm We headed Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Changed and cleaned a heavy wet diaper then positioned on her Lt side at 2:15.
3:15pm Second break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the living area.
3:30pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack. Did not cough during snack.
