Thursday July 1, 2021 Swingshift Update

• 4:00pm Maureen is lying in the recliner. She is slightly dozing off and seems tired.

• 4:50pm Maureen’s pull-up is wet so we proceed to the bathroom. After 10 minutes, Maureen did not urinate or move her bowels. We cleaned up and put on a new pull-up. No redness seen.

• 5:05pm Under Tom’s guidance, we tried to see how well and if Maureen can still walk. I stood in front of Maureen and Tom followed behind with the day chair. With assistance, Maureen walked slowly from the dining/supply room to the recliner, stopped for a little break, and walked to the front door.

• 5:20pm Maureen is leaning left and drooling excessively at this point.

• 6:00pm Per Tom, Maureen had dinner in the recliner today. She ate all of her Italian sausage and mango salad and had one cup of water. Minimal coughing during dinner.

• 7:11pm Administered 7.5mg OLANZAPINE with yogurt and 7.5mL VIMPAT. Oral care after.

• 7:50pm Bedtime. Transferred Maureen to bed using the Hoyer lift. Pull-up is slightly wet, cleaned and put on a new diaper. No redness observed. Removed socks and applied Vicks to chest. Pillow placed in between legs. Head of the bed elevated. Body pillows placed on both side. Maureen is lying on her right side.
