Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen’s calmly waking up, accepting sips of water via swab soon after.

• 8:35am Maureen’s awake, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:40am Blood pressure: 100/64, P64.

• 8:45am Joanna and I started our day giving Maureen an upper body bath using warm purple wipes, no redness observed. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs area. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 9:05am Breakfast: 8oz prune juice with a full cap of Miralax, soft scrambled egg with pear, and 1/4 cup of coffee. Coughed three times, suction pump used twice.

• 9:15am Administered 10mg Loratadine with apple sauce.

• 10:00am Oral care.

• 10:10am Eyes wash/drops and facial routine performed.

• 11:00am Maureen has been alert the whole morning; had a cup of lemon water in the meantime.

• 11:20am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper is dry and clear, positioned on her right side.

• 12:20pm First break ends. Clean/change a heavy wet diaper, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 12:35pm Lunch: Zucchini and sausage soup, avocado, and a cup of sparkling water. Coughed once.

• 1:25pm Oral care.

• 2:20pm Maureen sits awake and in good spirits, smiling while watching a movie. She drank a cup of lemon water before going for her break.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, positioned on her left side inserted.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper is dry, dressed and headed to the living room.

• 3:45pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon, pear, kiwi).
