Thursday, December 22, Daytime update

• 6:30 am- Maureen is asleep. She is laying on her left side.

• 6:58 am- Maureen had another episode . She woke up from her sleep, eyes were wide open ,but she was blinking. . The arms and hands were twitching, lower extremities were relaxed, hands were clenched. We heard the tongue clicking sound. Tom and I comforted her throughout the episode. Oxygen was greatl -97/98 all the time. Pulse picked 133, then very slowly came back to normal. The whole episode lasted 12 minutes. She is comfortably relaxing now and Tom is laying down with her.

• 8:00 am- Maureen is sleeping.

• 8:30 am- Maureen is still sleeping. Tom is with her.

• 9:00 am- Maureen is in and out of sleep now.

• 9:30 am- Maureen opens her eyes from time to time, but is still sleepy.

• 9:45 am- Maureen is starting to wake up.

• 10:00 am- Maureen seems more alert and awake. We started our day. The diaper was medium wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed. We washed Maureen's upper body. There was no redness on the skin observed. Finished dressing and headed to the kitchen.

• 10:18 am- Levothyroxine with apple sauce administered.

• 10:20 am- Breakfast- Because of the late start, we decided to go with a smoothie with a whole banana in it and a few pieces of raisin cinnamon toast with butter and sugar free strawberries jam. Maureen will have 8 oz of prune juice with 1/2 cup of Miralax, cup of water. Maureen coughed 4 times.

• 11:00 am- Administered Lisinopril and Loratadin.

• Daily Miralax dosage- 1/2 cup.

• 11:05- Oral care.

• 11:15 am- Facial routine.

• 11:25 am - Maureen's energy is low this morning. She seems congested. She sneezed 6-7 times, her eyes were watering.We cleaned her nose. She was leaning forward and we had to recline the chair down to finish the smoothie.

• 11:35 am- Maureen is taking a nap in the chair.

• 12:10 pm - Maureen is awake now.

• 12:20 pm- Lunch- half a bowl of lentils soup, shrimp salad, steamed cauliflower, 12 oz bottle of coconut water. Maureen coughed twice

• . We find it harder to give Maureen plain water. She keeps it in her mouth, doesn't swallow it. We were able to give her half a cup with a spoonful of apple juice in it.

• 12:50 pm- Oral care.

• 1:00 pm- We headed to the bedroom for Maureen's rest break. Her diaper was medium wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 1:15 pm.

• 2:45 pm- We extended Maureen's only break for today with an additional half an hour. The diaper was medium wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed Maureen.

• 3:10 pm- - Fresh fruit snack. Maureen coughed twice.

• 3:30 pm- Maureen has been very quiet today. At times it looked like she was pushing, but no bowel movement as of now. So far we were able to give her half a cup of water with a teaspoon of apple juice in it.
