Thursday, August 3 Daytime update

  • 6:30 am- Maureen was awake. Tom was giving her some water with the swab.

  • 7:00 am- Maureen is in and out of sleep.

  • 7:30 am- Maureen is asleep.

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is still sleeping.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is in and out of sleep.

  • 8:40 am- Maureen is waking up.

  • 8:50 am- We raised the bed and administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 9:00 am- We started the day. Maureen's diaper was dry. Dalia and I changed it, cleaned Maureen and applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. We washed Maureen's upper body. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 9:20 am - Breakfast- Oatmeal smoothie, 6 oz of prune juice with 1/4 cup of Miralax, cup of lemon water. Maureen coughed three times.

  • 9:45 am- BP is 136/72.

  • 9:46 am- Administered Loratadin and Metoprolol.

  • 9:50 am- Morning oral care.

  • 9:55 am- Eye wash and eye drops.

  • 10:00 am- Nebulizer treatment with saline solution and Albuterol.

  • 10:30 am- Facial routine.

  • 10:40 am- Maureen is already sleeping In the chair.

  • 11:15 am- Maureen coughed and was able to get out some phlegm.

  • 11:30 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was medium wet and she had a extra large formed bowel movement. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 11:45 am.

  • 12:45 pm- First rest break ends. Maureen's diaper was dry. We dressed and headed to the kitchen. She enjoyed Carolyn's company.

  • 12:50 pm- Maureen coughed and was able to cough out some phlegm again.

  • 1:00 pm- Lunch- lentils soup, eggs salad, fermented red beets, half of yogurt, cup of lemon water. No coughs during lunch .

  • 1:40 pm- Oral care.

  • 2:00 pm- Maureen is resting in the chair.

  • 2:0( pm- BP is 110/77.

  • 2:15 pm - We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was dry. Maureen will lie on her left side for sn hour starting at 2:25 pm.

  • 3:25 pm- Second rest break ends. Maureen's diaper was medium wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and headed to the front room.

  • 3:40 pm- Nebulizer treatment with saline solution and Albuterol.
