Thursday August 24, 2023 Daytime update

  • 6:30am Maureen’s asleep, she’s lying on her left with Tom by her side.

  • 7:30am Maureen’s still sleeping , Tom‘s by her side. She took some sips of water, via swab earlier when she briefly opened her eyes.

  • 8:10am Maureen’s awake and receptive to zips of water via swab. 8:15am We raised Maureen’s bed and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:20am Emily and I started the day by giving Maureen an upper body bath. Changed and cleaned a dry diaper and applied Cavilon barrier and cream. Dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.

  • Blood pressure: 93/62.

  • 8:40am Maureen’s enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie, 6oz prune juice with 1/4cap Miralax, and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for breakfast. Maureen coughed twice and was able to get rid of some phlegm.

  • Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

  • Daily dosage of Miralax: 1/4 cap.

  • 9:00am Administered 10mg Loratadine with smoothie. Metoprolol skipped this morning because the lower BP reading.

  • 9:10am Morning oral care.

  • 9:20am Saline Neb treatment.

  • 9:30 Facial routine and eyes care.

  • Maureen snoozed from time to time in the chair.

  • 11:00am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first break. Changed and cleaned a md wet diaper with a Large-formed bowel movement Positioned on her right side at 11:15am.

  • Maureen’s sleepy, closing her eyes when we positioned for her break.

  • Pulse: 52, O2: 96

  • Maureen was in and out of sleep during her break.

  • 12:15pm First break ends. Diaper was md wet, changed and cleaned. Dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.

  • Blood pressure results was error getting up, we’ll check again later.

  • 12:30pm Lunch: potato soup. tuna salad, sliced cucumber, cup of sparkling water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. No cough.

  • Reclined Geri chair one notch.

  • Maureen was very tired during lunch. She started eating with some energy but at the end was holding food in her mouth.

  • 1:20pm Oral care.

  • Blood pressure: 103/71. *BP med omitted after consulting with the family.*

  • Maureen finished drinking a full cup of sparkling water, but not so fun of lemon water today, she only had 1/2 cup so far.

  • 2:10pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second break. Changed and cleaned md wet diaper and positioned on her Lt at 2:25pm

  • 3:20pm Second break ends. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper. Dressed and headed Maureen to the front room.

  • 3:40pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack ( melon and pear).

Tom’s update 5:00 - Mattha said the night was quiet after the initial diaper change at 10pm. Maureen was sleeping comfortably, so I went upstairs. 8:00 - I repositioned Maureen to her right side, she

 
 
 
Saturday June 11,2026 Daytime Update

6:00 -Tom’s Morning update, Maureen coughed, He cleared phlegm from throat and she had a couple swabs of water. 8:00 - Tom repositioned Maureen to her right side, she stayed resting during the move.
