Last Sunday, Maureen began to significantly bleed from the mouth while one of the caregivers was brushing her teeth. We could not specifically locate the source. Use of a few blue swabs led us to conclude the blood was potentially emanating from the upper right gum.

Several days ago, Djon noticed a small amount of blood coming from the upper right gum while he was brushing Maureen's teeth. This morning we took a closer look at this area. There appears to be some injured or dead tissue in the upper right gum area from where the blood was coming. See dark area in the attached image.

Tom is going to send the image to Maureen's dentist for review. For the next few days, please exercise great care when brushing the upper right portion of Maureen's mouth. Thank you.
