That's New | Hoyer Lift update

Maya and I used the Hoyer Lift to make the following transfers today:

1. Bed to day chair | This went extremely well

2. Day chair to commode (in the front room) | This again proved to be impossible to get Maureen's pants and pull up down while in the sling. As with yesterday, we aborted and returned the commode to the bathroom where she went to the bathroom.

3. Day chair to lift recliner | This transfer also proceeded quite nicely. Maya performed this one on her own.

After discussing this further with Carolyn, she has given us the green light to move forward and purchase a toilet sling. The Hoyer toilet sling requires the transferee to have upper arm strength. In light of Maureen's current state, we will likely purchase a manufactured by Liko.
