Sunday, Oct 1, 2023- Daytime Update

8:00 AM: Clocked in. Maureen is sleeping soundly. Tom made us aware that she had a seizure episode at 6AM. Maureen was given 0.1mg of Lorazepam 8 mins after the episode started. She calmed down after 10 mins of giving the medication. Let her rest.


8:20 AM: She is still sleeping.


8:35 AM: Maureen's awake. Put her in an upright position. Administered 75mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.


9:00 AM: Begin morning care. Wash face and body with warm purple wipes. Used Aloe Vesta to wash her upper body. Her diaper was medium wet. No redness observed. Cleaned and changed. Applied Cavilon film on the sacrum and Cavilon cream on the rest of perineal area. Finished dressing her up and head to the kitchen.


9:20 AM: Breakfast. Started with 6oz of prune juice and pears. Followed by an omelet and a cup of lemon water. We also gave her few sips of coffee. **coughed 2x


10:00 AM: Administered 10mg of Loratadine with yogurt.


10:15 AM: Oral, facial and hand care done. Reclined the chair one notch for Maureen's comfort.


10:30 AM: BP was 110/75 and pulse was 71bpm.


11:15 AM: Deacon Andy came for Sunday service.


11:30 AM: Transfer Maureen back to the bedroom for First break. Her diaper was dry. Turned her to her right side.


12:40 PM. First break done. Diaper was heavy wet. Cleaned, dried and changed. Proceed on transferring her to the kitchen for lunch.


12:50 PM: Lunch- oatmeal and fruit smoothie with flax seed which Maureen enjoyed. She alaso finished 12 oz of sparking water and a few spoonfuls of yogurt. **coughed 1x


1:10 PM: Oral care done.


2:30 PM: Transferred Maureen back to bedroom for Second rest break. She had heavy wet diaper. Cleaned, dried and changed. Position her facing left side.


3:30 PM: Second rest break done. Diaper was dry. Proceed on transferring Maureen to the front room to watch TV.


3:50 PM: Maureen had her fruit snack (melons and kiwi) and a cup of lemon water.


5:00 PM: BP was 115/75, pulse was 69bpm


5:05 PM: Dinner was whitefish, pasta and spinach and a cup of lemon water which Maureen enjoyed.


6:00 PM: Administered 5mg of Olanzapine with apple sauce and 12.5 ml of Vimpat.


6:15 PM: Oral and denture care done.


6:30 PM: Transferred Maureen back to the bedroom. Diaper was heavy wet. Cleaned, dried and changed. Applied Cavilon cream to perineal area and Cethaphil lotion to upper and lower extremities. Positioned Maureen to face left side with 2 wedge pillows and put a pillow in between her legs to avoid any pressure injury.
