Sunday November 14, 2021 Dayshift Update

• 7:00am Maureen is awake, chatting to herself. Her diaper is dry. She is lying on her left side.

• 8:00am Our day begins. Maureen’s diaper is wet and she had a small, formed bowel movement - we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray, applied the 3M barrier film, followed by the Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. Cleaned under Maureen’s breasts and her inner right forearm using a washcloth and aloe vesta foam. Patted dry and applied a small layer of Nystatin under Maureen’s right breast and her right inner forearm. We also put a gauze in her inner right forearm for more protection. Transferred to Geri chair using the Hoyer lift after.

• 8:46am Administered half thyroid pill with applesauce prior to breakfast.

• 8:50am Maureen will eat a ham and cheese omelet with a banana along with a cup of water and half a cup of prune juice for breakfast.

• 9:22am Administered Lisinopril with applesauce followed by a spoonful of honey.

• 9:30am Oral care followed by facial cleanse and application of Cetaphil moisturizing lotion.

• 9:40am Transferred Maureen to the recliner in the front room. Andy came shortly with communion for Maureen.

• 10:35am Smoothie time.

• Maureen has been drifting in and out of sleep from 10:45am to 11:15am.

• 11:50am We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray and put on a new diaper. Maureen will lay down to rest. She is turned to her left side with two green wedge pillows behind her and the white block pillow in between her legs.

• 1:35pm It is time for Maureen to get up from her rest. Her diaper is wet and she had a large, formed bowel movement. We cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray, applied Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. Transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift and headed to the kitchen.

• 2:10pm Lunch time. Maureen will eat a bowl of chicken soup, half of a turkey sandwich with roasted squash and a bottle of coconut water.

• 2:40pm Oral care.

• 3:30pm Fruit snack.

• 3:50pm We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray, applied Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. We transferred Maureen via Hoyer lift and headed to the front room to her recliner.
