Sunday, May 7, 2023 - Summary Update

8:00AM - Maureen was sleeping when me and Mayla came in. Lying on her left side.


8:20AM - Maureen slowly opening her eyes. Raised the bed on upright position, administered 75mcg Levothroxine with applesauce.


8:40AM - Maureen's closing her eyes in and out, looking sleepy. We will give her more time.


8:50AM - Maureen went back to sleep.


9:30AM - Maureen's awake and looked like she's ready for the day. Diaper was medium wet. Very small, clear vaginal discharges observed. Noticed a blister on right labia (blister doesn't look red and irritated). Washed with warm water, then patted dry (no Monistat applied). Cleaned and changed. Applied Cavilon barrier on sacral area and cream. Also, washed upper body using warmed purple wipes with Aloe Vesta. No redness on body observed.


9:55AM - Transferred Maureen from bed to geri chair and headed to kitchen for breakfast.


Breakfast - omelette (tomatoes, onions, ham and cheese), 8oz prune juice with 1/4 cap MiraLAX, and lemon water. Maureen enjoyed breakfast. Coughed once.


10:20AM - Administered the rest of meds - Loratidine and Lisinopril with apple sauce.


Daily dose MiraLAX: 1/4 cap


10:30AM - Oral care.


10:40AM - Reclined geri chair one notch for Maureen's comfort. Facial and hand care.


Maureen was closing her eyes in and out.


11:40AM - Transferred Maureen from geri chair to bed for her 1st Rest Break. Diaper was light wet, vaginal discharges still present. We had Carolyn checked and assessed it. We will keep area clean and make sure to tapped dry after. Positioned Maureen on her right side starting at 12:00PM.


1:00PM - 1st rest break ended. Diaper was medium wet. Vaginal discharges still observed. Washed, cleaned and patted dry. Finished dressing and headed to the kitchen for lunch.


1:20PM - Lunch - crackers with hummus. fruit smoothie, added 1/3 pear, lemon water. Coughed once, sneezed once.


1:40PM - Oral care.


2:00PM - Went down outside for a walk. Maureen enjoyed the sun and the breeze. Nice weather today!


2:45PM - Came back from walk. Transferred Maureen to the bed for her 2nd Rest Break. Diaper was dry. Inserted suppository to help with her bowel movement. Positioned on her left side starting at 2:55PM.


3:30PM - 2nd rest break ended. Diaper was lightly wet with large formed bowel movement. Cleaned Maureen thoroughly. Less or very light vaginal discharges, clear in color. Washed and patted dry. Transferred Maureen from bed to recliner.


3:45PM - Fruit snack. No coughs.


4:05- 5:25PM - Sister Roberta arrived for Maureen's massages. Maureen getting sleepy, closing her eyes from time to time while Sister Roberta was doing her procedure.


5:30PM - Transferred Maureen from recliner to geri chair to get ready for dinner.


Dinner - grilled burger patty with cheese, sweet corn, potato salad, beets and lemon water. Maureen enjoyed dinner much. Dessert was cranberry jello. Coughed twice.


6:15PM - Administered 5mg Olanzapine with vanilla yogurt and 12.5ml Vimpat.


6:30PM - Oral care.


6:40PM - Transferred Maureen from geri chair to bed. Diaper was heavy wet, no vaginal discharges observed. Cleaned and changed. Applied Cavilon cream. Also, washed Maureen's upper body with warmed purple wipes, applied Cetaphil lotion, Vicks on chest. Cetaphil lotion on both legs and feet as well.


***We stopped Monistat application, used tepid water for washing which is working.


7:05PM - Maureen about to sleep.
