Sunday, May 10 Daytime update Happy Mother’s Day

  • 9:30 am- Maureen is awake, comfortably laying on her left side. Tom said that she woke up a little before 8 am. Her diaper was wet, and since she was dry the whole night, he did change her. There was a medium VD, brownish, odorless. Tom laid down next to Maureen until she went back to sleep again.

  • 10:00 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce.

    Nebulizer treatment with Albuterol.

    Maureen had 6 oz of thickened lemon water.

  • 10:20 am- We changed a medium wet diaper. Cleaned Maureen and applied Sureprep barrier film and Cavilon cream. Washed Maureen’s upper body, dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

  • 10:40 am- Breakfast- omelette, 8 oz of thickened prune juice with 1/2 cup of MiraLAX. Maureen coughed once.

  • 11:15 am- Administered 20 ml of Geri- Tussin with applesauce.

  • 11:20 am- Morning oral care.

    Facial and hand care routine followed.

  • 12:30 pm- Maureen had 10 oz of thickened coconut water. Coughed twice.

  • 1:00 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon. Maureen coughed once.

  • 2:15 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bathroom for her rest break. Her diaper was medium wet and she had a large formed bowel movement. We cleaned and changed her. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 2:30 pm.

  • 3:30 pm- Maureen’s rest break is over now. Her diaper was dry. We dressed her and transferred to the recliner.

  • 4:50 pm- Maureen had 10 oz of thickened sparkling water. No coughs.

  • 4:00 pm- Nebulizer treatment with Albuterol.

  • 4:30 pm- Mother’s Day dinner with family - Baked ham, crispy potatoes, cheesy broccoli. Maureen enjoyed it. She had 10 oz of thickened water. Coughed twice during dinner.

  • 5:30 pm- Administered 20 ml of Geri-Tussin, 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with applesauce.

  • 5:50 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:00 pm - We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Her diaper was heavy wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream. Applied Cetaphil lotion to her face, hands, legs and feet. Positioned Maureen on her left side.
