Sunday March 6, 2022 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is half-awake. We will let her sleep in until she is ready to start her day.

• 8:55am Our day begins. Filed both of Maureen’s big toes and applied Tolcylen. Diaper is heavy wet - we cleaned up, applied no sting barrier film, Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. There is redness under Maureen’s waist so we applied a layer of Nystatin to the area. We finished dressing and headed to the kitchen after.

• 9:16am Spoonful of Manuka honey and half thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 9:30am Breakfast - banana, ham tomato Swiss cheese omelet, chicken sausages, 4 oz prune juice and a cup of water.

• 10:02am 5mg Lisinopril with applesauce.

• 10:05am Oral care.

• 10:13am Morning facial routine.

• 10:20am Administered a dose of saline nasal spray to each nostril.

• 10:34am We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner watching mass on tv.

• Our morning was delayed due to the fact that Maureen was still not fully awake. She was in good spirits as we got ready for the day. Breakfast went well - Maureen coughed twice. She was engaged and smiling throughout her meal. Low moan/groan started shortly after morning facial routine around ~10:13am. Low moan/groan persists while we are watching mass on tv.

• 11:20am Deacon Andy is here to give Maureen Holy Communion.

• 11:30am We headed to the bedroom for rest period #1. Diaper is medium wet - we cleaned and changed to a new diaper. Maureen will lie on her right side for one hour starting at 11:40am.

• 12:40pm Rest period #1 is through. Maureen’s diaper is medium wet and she had a medium sized, formed bowel movement. We cleaned up, applied Cavilon barrier cream and put on a new diaper. We headed to the kitchen after.

• 1:04pm Lunch - homemade chicken noodle soup and mango salad with a bottle of organic coconut water.

• 1:27pm Oral care.

• Lunch went really well today - Maureen did not cough at all. Her energy level is low and the low moan/groan started shortly after oral care.

• 2:15pm We headed to the bedroom for rest period #2. Diaper is medium wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen will lie on her left side for one hour starting at 2:32pm.

• 3:32pm Rest period #2 is over. Maureen’s diaper is medium wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. We headed to the front room after.

• 3:50pm Fruit snack.
