Sunday, June 16 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is just waking up. According to Tom, she opened her eyes around 7 am, she had a few sips of water then went back to sleep..

  • 8:30 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:35 am- We started the day. Maureen's diaper was dry. We washed her face and upper body , no redness observed. Dressed and moved Maureen to the kitchen.

  • 850 am- Breakfast- 6 oz of prune juice with 1/2 cup of Miralax, omlet, couple of spoons of yogurt, cup of water. Maureen coughed twice.

  • Daily Miralax dosage- 1/2 cup.

  • 9:30 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with yogurt.

  • 9:40 am- Morning oral care.

  • 10:00 am- Nebulizer treatment with saline solution and Albuterol right after.

  • 10:20 am- Facial routine.

  • BP- 115/70.

  • 10:30 am- We transferred Maureen to the wheelchair and went to the back porch.

  • 11:00 am- Maureen is taking a nap outside.

  • 11:25 am- We headed back to the house and transferred Maureen to bed. Diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 11:40 am.

  • 12:40 pm- Maureen's first rest break is over now. Diaper was dry. We dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 12:50 pm- Lunch- Oatmeal smoothie, cup of sparkling water, chocolate cookie for dessert. One cough.

  • 1:30 pm- Oral care.

  • Maureen enjoyed a nice visit with her family.

  • 2:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Tom and I cleaned and changed a medium wet diaper. Maureen will lie on her left side for an hour starting at 2:10 pm.

  • 3:05 pm- Maureen's second rest break ends. Diaper was dry. We dressed Maureen and headed to the living room.

  • 3:10 pm- Maureen is enjoying Sister Roberta's treatment.

  • 4:00 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon, pear and kiwi.

  • 5:00 pm- Maureen's diaper is light wet.

  • 5:05 pm- Dinner- Lemon chicken, potatoes and spinach, rice pudding for dessert, cup of water. Maureen enjoyed it a lot. One cough.

  • 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with apple sauce.

  • 6:10 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream. Washed and cleaned Maureen's face and hands. Applied Cetaphil lotion on her face, hands, legs and feet. Positioned Maureen on her left side.
