Sunday January 16, 2022 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is awake, chatting with Tom.

• 8:30am Our day begins. Filed both of Maureen’s big toes and applied Tolcylen. Washed the inner folds of Maureen‘s skin with Aloe Vesta cleansing foam. No redness observed. Diaper is wet - cleaned using 3M cleanser spray, applied no-sting barrier film followed by Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. Transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift.

• 8:28am Spoonful of honey followed by half a thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 8:50am Breakfast - banana, chicken sausages, tomato and ham omelet, and a cup of water.

  • Maureen coughed twice.

• 9:42am Administered Lisinopril with applesauce.

• 9:45am Oral care.

• 9:50am Facial routine.

• 10:00am We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner watching tv.

• 10:30am Smoothie time.

  • Maureen did not cough.

• 11:30am Deacon Andy is here for a visit. He gave Maureen Holy Communion.

• 11:44am We headed to the bedroom for a change. Her diaper is wet and she had a small, soft bowel movement - we changed and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows behind her. She will rest in bed for one hour starting at 12:00pm.

• 1:00pm Rest period is over. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift.

• 1:05pm Barb is here for a visit.

• 1:20pm Lunchtime - half turkey sandwich With cheese, green beans, and a bottle of organic coconut water.

• 1:55pm Oral care.

• 3:00pm We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is wet and she had a small, soft bowel movement. We cleaned up, applied Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. Maureen is turned to her right side with two green wedge pillows behind her. She will rest in bed for one hour starting at 3:10pm.
