Sunday December 5, 2021 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is sound asleep. She is lying on her left side.

• 9:05am Maureen is now awake and our day begins. Filed Maureen’s left and right big toe and applied Tolcylen. Allowed to air dry for at least 10 minutes. Her diaper is wet - cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray, applied no sting barrier film to former pressure sore area, and applied Cavilon barrier cream to appropriate areas. Transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift.

• 9:38am Maureen started breakfast with a spoonful of honey followed by half of a thyroid pill with applesauce. Maureen will eat a corned beef and swiss cheese omelet with a banana, 4 oz of prune juice and a cup of cold water.

  • Maureen coughed 4 times during breakfast.

• 10:10am Administered Lisinopril with applesauce. Oral care followed after.

• 10:20am Facial routine.

• 10:40am We headed to the front room. Maureen is in her recliner.

• 11:30am It is time for Maureen’s first rest. Her diaper is wet - cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows behind her and the white block pillow in between her legs.

• 12:30pm Maureen’s first rest period is over. Her diaper is wet - we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray and put on a new diaper.

• 12:50pm Deacon Andy came to give Maureen Holy Communion.

• 1:10pm Lunchtime. Maureen will eat a serving of tuna casserole with a bottle of coconut water.

• 1:30pm Oral care.

• 1:40pm Barb is here for a visit.

• 2:20pm It is time for Maureen’s second rest. We took her to the bedroom. Her diaper is wet - we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her right side with two green wedge pillows placed behind her and the white block pillow placed in between her legs.

• 3:40pm Maureen’s second test period is over. Her diaper is wet - we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray and put on a new diaper. We headed to the front room after.

• 4:00pm Smoothie time.
