Sunday, December 15 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is in and out of sleep.

  • 8:15 am- Maureen is waking up now.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is fully awake. We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:35 am- We started the day. Maureen’s diaper was dry but we still changed it. There was a little thick vaginal discharge. We cleaned, applied Cavilon barrier film and Cavilon cream. There was a long red scratch mark on the left of the sacrum area. We applied Cavilon cream on it. We next washed Maureen’s upper body. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 8:50 am- Breakfast- 8 oz of prune juice with 1 cup of Miralax, omelette, activia yogurt, sips of coffee. Maureen coughed three times.

  • 9:20 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with yogurt.

  • Daily Miralax dosage- 1 cup.

  • 9:30 am- Morning oral care.

  • 9:40 am- Facial routine.

  • 10:15 am- We transferred Maureen to the living room. She is enjoying a Christmas movie.

  • 11:10 - Maureen took a 40 minutes nap. She is awake now for Deacon Andy’s Sunday service.

  • 11:20 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 11:35 am.

  • 12:35 pm- Maureen’s first rest break is over. Her diaper was dry. We dressed her and transferred to the living room for conditioning watching Christmas movie.

  • 12:50 pm- Lunch- chicken Parmesan pasta, cup of coconut water. Maureen coughed twice.

  • 1:30 pm- Oral care.

  • 1:50 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her. Inserted the Bisacodyl 10 mg suppository . Positioned Maureen on her left side at 2:05 pm.

  • 3:00 pm- Maureen’s second rest break ended. She had a large formed bowel movement. We cleaned and changed her. Dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

  • 3:15 pm- Maureen is enjoying sister Roberta’s treatment.

  • 3:50 pm- Applied Triamcinolone cream to Maureen’s left hand.

  • 4:00 pm- Fresh fruit snack- melon, pear and kiwi. Maureen coughed once.

  • 5:00 pm- Dinner- baked salmon with steamed Brussels sprouts, cup of water. Maureen enjoyed it, coughed once.

  • 5:50 pm- Administered 5 mg of Olanzapine with apple sauce and 12.5 ml of Vimpat.

  • 6:10 pm- Evening oral care. Maureen is falling asleep.

  • 6:25 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Diaper was still dry. The massage we did didn’t help. Applied Cavilon cream. Cleaned her face and applied Cetaphil lotion to her face, hands, legs and feet. Positioned her on the left side.

  • 6:45 pm- Maureen is asleep.
