Sunday April 3, 2022 Update

• 8:00am Maureen is awake, but not fully. She is laying on her left side.

• 8:30am Maureen continues to drift in and out of sleep.

• 9:03am Our day begins. We saw some redness under Maureen‘s waistline. We gently cleaned the area and applied a layer of Nystatin. Filed Maureen’s big toes and applied Tolcylen. Diaper is heavily wet - we cleaned up, applied no sting barrier film, Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. We finished dressing and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:17am Spoonful of Manuka honey followed by half thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 9:34am Breakfast - banana, ham and cheese omelet, sausages, 4 oz prune juice, cup of water.

• 10:17am Lisinopril and Claritin with applesauce.

• 10:24am Oral care.

• 10:30am Morning facial routine including arms and hands.

• Our morning went well. Maureen once again slept in. Breakfast went well - Maureen coughed only once.

• 10:38am We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner.

• Maureen slept for approximately 10 minutes in the recliner.

• 11:16am Deacon Andy is here to give Maureen Holy Communion.

• 11:40am We headed to the bedroom for rest period #1. Diaper is medium wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen will lie on her right side for one hour starting at 11:55am.

• 12:55pm Maureen is sound asleep. We will get ready for lunch as soon as she wakes up.

• 1:08pm Rest period #1 is over. Maureen’s diaper is light wet - we cleaned up, applied Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. We headed to the kitchen after.

• 1:24pm Lunch - homemade mushroom soup, Caesar salad, short rib ravioli, and a bottle of organic coconut water. Maureen also enjoyed half a chocolate cupcake for dessert.

• Lunch went well. Maureen was full of energy. She coughed three times during lunch.

• 1:53pm Oral care.

• 2:20pm We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner watching tv.

• 3:30pm We headed to the bedroom for rest period #2. Diaper is medium wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen will lie on her left side for one hour starting at 3:40pm.

• 4:40pm Rest period #2 is over. Maureen’s diaper medium wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. We headed to the front room after.

• 4:50pm Fruit snack.

• 5:50pm We headed to the kitchen.

• 6:00pm Dinner - chicken tacos from Chipotle with a cup of water.

• Maureen had low energy throughout dinner. She coughed twice. She is less talkative.

• 6:55pm Administered 5mg Olanzapine and 7.5mL Vimpat.

• 7:04pm Oral care.

• 7:10pm We dressed for bed. Night time facial routine followed. Vicks applied to chest.

• 7:23pm We headed to the bedroom. Transferred Maureen to bed using the Hoyer lift. Tolcylen applied to both big toes. The area under Maureen’s waist is slightly red - I cleaned the area gently using the Aloe Vesta cleansing foam, thoroughly dried the area, and applied a layer of Nystatin. Her diaper is medium wet - we cleaned up, applied Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper.

• We sat Maureen up in bed to 90° and she was able to cough up a significant amount of phlegm. She coughed and was red in the face multiple times.

• 7:50pm Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows placed behind her and the white block pillow placed in between her legs.
