8:45am We got our day started with a bed bath, using the purple wipes, a complete clean and change of a medium wet diaper. After Maureen was dressed, the sling was put in place to transfer to the Geri chair.
9:15am Breakfast began after 1/2 LEVOTHYROXINE was given with applesauce, we enjoyed scrambled eggs with ham, cheese and onions and a banana, 8oz of prune juice and some water as well. 4-5 coughs were noticed during the meal.
10:00am Oral care and cleanup takes place
10:15am We put the Geri chair back, one notch so Maureen could close her eyes for a while … maybe a couple 5 minute cat naps took place.
11:15am Deacon Andy came by for a short prayer service, including Communion.
11:30am We transferred to the bedroom for rest break #1, as we were changing Maureen’s light wet diaper, she produced a medium formed BM.
11:45am Maureen is lying on her right side for the next hour.
12:45pm Rest break #1 concludes, we changed a light wet diaper, set the sling for transfer to the transport chair and then to the front room.
1:15pm Fruit smoothie time, instead of a lunch. Unfortunately, the Bears are losing at halftime, 14-9, it didn’t hamper Maureen’s hunger for the smoothie, gone in no time …
2:15pm Susan stopped by for visit, Maureen was a little quiet at first but chatted a bit …
3:00pm Sister Roberta arrived and we got some soothing oils wafting through the house and listening to some classical music.
4:00pm THE RETURN OF MAYA!!!
Maya walked in the door and picked right up, Faith prepared a nice bowl of fruit, consisting of watermelon, cantaloupe and blueberries, Maya asked Maureen if she was ready and of course, she ate every last chunk.
Sister Roberta finished her treatment and we watched a little more football.
5:00pm After Faith left for the evening, we transferred Maureen to the tran chair and then went to the bedroom for a change. During the clean and change of a light wet diaper , Maureen urinated again … new pad, cleaned again, and redressed, we transferred back to the front room till dinner.
6:15pm Dinner is served, tender beef with broccoli and rice, cut up small, not purée and a cup of water. I believe she coughed 3 times during dinner.
7:00pm 10ml VIMPAT and 1 OLANZAPINE with applesauce were administered, followed by oral care.
We transferred to the bed and cleaned and changed Maureen’s shirt, she was dry at this time.
7:30pm Maya applied some Vick’s to Maureen‘a chest, laying on her left side … asleep by 8:00
