September 29 daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen is awake. She is lying on her left side. Tom was concerned that Maureen was breathing heavier than usual. Maureen’s eyes are open and blinking - congestion is evident - vital signs are normal. Will continue to monitor.

• 6:35am Vitals: Pulse 68, respiration 14, O2 96%.

• 7:00am I will give Maureen sips of water via a swab.

• 7:30am Maureen is asleep.

• 8:00am Maureen is asleep.

• 8:32am Our morning begins. Maureen’s diaper is medium wet - we performed a clean and change and applied 3M products. We next washed Maureen’s upper body using warmed wipes from the purple packet. We finished dressing and headed to the kitchen.

• 8:58am Flonase and thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 9:01am Breakfast - puréed banana and oatmeal with 8 oz prune juice.

• 9:26am Administered Lisinopril, Claritin, Senna, and Docusate Sodium with applesauce.

• 9:34am Oral care.

• 9:40am We reclined Maureen one notch down on the Geri chair to relieve pressure off her sacrum.

• 9:43am Morning facial routine.

• 10:30am Maureen has been asleep in the Geri chair for 40 minutes.

• 10:50am Maureen is finally awake. She slept for an hour on the Geri chair.

• 10:55am 1/2 fruit smoothie.

• 11:10am We headed to the bedroom for rest period #1. Maureen’s diaper is dry. She will lie on her right side for one hour starting at 11:13am.

• General Observation - today was more challenging than usual. Maureen did not have much energy throughout the morning and she fell asleep on the Geri chair for one hour. Breakfast also posed a challenge for us - we logged 8 coughs and 3 sneezes. Fruit smoothie saw none.

• 12:13pm Rest period #1 ends. Maureen’s diaper is medium wet and she had a hard, formed bowel movement - we cleaned and changed and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:35pm Lunch - chicken and steak fajita from Uncle Julio’s with refried beans, rice, and guacamole complemented with a bottle of organic coconut water.

• 1:50pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm We headed to the bedroom for rest period #2. Maureen’s diaper is dry. She will lie on her left side for one hour starting at 2:13pm.

• 3:13pm Rest period #2 ends. Maureen’s diaper is medium wet - we performed a clean and change and headed to the front room.

• 3:35pm Fruit snack.
