6:35AM - Maureen is awake. Her diaper is dry.
7:15AM - She is still awake. Diaper remains dry.
7:30AM - Djon turned Maureen to her right side. She remains awake. Diaper continues to be dry.
Our day officially began @ 8:05AM. Maureen is in good form again. She is attentive and chatty. Djon cleaned Maureen with just the 3M Cavilon Cleanse Spray and a wash cloth. He did not use the warmed wipes from the purple packet. Next, he applied the 3M Cavilon Barrier Cream to all areas of skin exposed to urine/feces. This was followed by the application of the 3M Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film to the pressure sore area. He then applied Muciprocin Ointment to the two "bug bites" Lastly, we applied a small dab of the Nystatin Ointment to the small red area beneath Maureen's left breast.
Djon inserted both of Maureen's partial dental fittings this morning. Click here for all of the details.
Breakfast service began @ 8:40AM. Djon administered the thyroid pill prior to feeding Maureen. Maureen's posture in the geri chair was good—listing a bit to the left. We inserted both green wedge pillows to ensure Maureen was sitting erect. The two wedge pillows for all intents and purposes serve as extended armrests.
We administered 1/2 a packet of MiraLAX in Maureen's prune juice.
Maureen will consume 1/2 a glass of undiluted prune juice this morning.
Coughing was minimal during breakfast—two to three times. Maureen also sneezed once.
9:30AM - Djon administered the blood pressure pill and baby aspirin with some applesauce.
9:52AM - We smelled a strong fecal smell. Headed to the bathroom as Maureen has not had a sizable bowel movement in more than 2.5 days. As we were transferring her to the commode, she had a very large soft bowel movement on the floor. The feces also got on her leg and shorts. Djon thoroughly cleaned Maureen with wipes and the 3M Cavilon Cleanse Spray. We put on a new pull up and a freshly laundered pair of shorts. Djon and I placed Maureen in the lift recliner in front room.
10:30AM - Djon noted some sleep/gunk in Maureen's eyelashes. He cleaned all of her eyelashes with warm water and Johnson's Baby Shampoo.
10:50AM - Organic fruit smoothie time.
12:15PM - Djon noted Maureen's pull up was slightly wet. We headed to the bedroom for a clean and change. We did so because Maureen has a very large BM earlier today. Djon exclusively used the 3M Cavilon Cleaning Rinse to clean Maureen thoroughly. We placed a new pull up on her and headed to the kitchen for lunch.
12:40PM - Lunch - We enjoyed Chick Fit A today. Maureen consumed some grilled chicken nuggets, mac & cheese and waffle fries.
2:15PM - We took Maureen to the bedroom for a clean and change in advance of Sr. Roberta's visit. Djon cleaned Maureen thoroughly with just the 3M Cavilon Cleansing Spray. We put a fresh pull up on Maureen and moved her to the lift recliner in the front room.
2:40PM - Sr. Roberta arrived.
