  • 6:35AM - Maureen is sound asleep. Diaper is dry.

  • 7:15AM - Maureen remains asleep. Djon checked the diaper—still dry.

  • 8:05AM - Maureen continues to sleep. We will get her up between 8:30-8:45 since RN Val will be here at 10:00AM.

  • Our day officially began @ 8:38AM. Maureen is in good form. She is attentive and engaged. Her left hand was considerably more cold than the right. Diaper was wet. Djon cleaned Maureen with warmed wipes from the purple packet. He then followed up and cleaned the areas of skin regularly exposed to urine with the 3M Cavilon Cleanse Spray. Next, Djon applied the 3M Cavilon Barrier Cream to all areas of skin exposed to urine. This was followed by the application of the 3M Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film to the pressure sore area. He then applied Muciprocin Ointment to the two "bug bites" Lastly, we applied a small dab of the Nystatin Ointment to the small red area beneath Maureen's left breast.

  • Breakfast service began @ 9:12AM. Djon administered the thyroid pill prior to feeding Maureen. Her posture in the geri chair was good this morning. We made the necessary adjustments using the two green wedge pillow to ensure Maureen was sitting erect.

  • Maureen will consume 1/2 a glass of unadulterated prune juice this morning.

  • It has been almost two days since Maureen had a bowel movement. We administered 1/2 a packet of MiraLAX in her prune juice.

  • 9:31AM - Blood pressure pill and baby aspirin administered.

  • Djon noted a small amount of gunk/sleep in Maureen's eyelashes. He cleaned all of the eyelashes with warm water and Johnson's Baby Shampoo.

  • General observations @ 9:49AM> Maureen's eyes are wide open. Her arms are positioned in the upper portion of her torso. Hands are somewhat tightly clenched.

  • 10:00AM - Maureen's RN Val Diaz visited the house. Vitals are as follows: lBP: 124/72, Oxygen: 98, Pulse: 90, Temp: 98.9

  • Val checked Maureen's lungs. Her lungs are clear. Breathing is a bit shallow. Djon and I placed Maureen in bed so that she could examine the remnants of the pressure sore and the bug bites. Val was very impressed with how we have managed the situation. In her opinion, they are hard to even notice at this point. We will continue to use the 3M No Sting Barrier Film and the Muciprocin Ointment until Val's visit on 9-22-21.

  • 10:47AM - Organic fruit smoothie time. Awesome sauce.

  • 12:05PM - areas of skin exposed to urine

  • 12:30 - Lunch - Chef Brian served linguine with Rao bolognese sauce and sautéed maushoorms. For starters, we all enjoyed Chef Brian's signature salad. Maureen, as usual, enjoyed 12 ounces of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water. "I can't believe my little brother could make food like that good," said Maureen. "Usually, the only thing he can cook is a frozen pizza at 3AM after drinking too much."

  • 1:15PM - Maureen, Djon and Brian had a nice FaceTime chat with Maya. We learned that Maya is giving consideration to taking a job as Director of Organic Consumables at the American Embassy in Sofia—and by consumables we do not mean marijuana.

  • 2:10PM - Maureen's pull up was wet. We headed to the bathroom as it was time to apply the afternoon dose of Muciprocin Ointment to the "bug bites." Djon cleaned Maureen with the 3M Cavilon Cleanse Spray and the regular Medline Wipes. As stated above, he also applied the Muciprocin to the bug bites. Upon completion of the clean and change process, we placed Maureen in the lift recliner in the front room.

  • 3:10PM - Fruit snack
