Saturday June 17, 2023 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen is awake lying on her left side with Tom and Marrie by her bedside. Tom tells me she’s been on and out of sleep since 5:45am and receptive to zips of water via swab.

• 8:30am Maureen continues to falling sleep for few minutes and opening them briefly repeatedly. 9:00am Maureen’s sleeping.

• 9:35am Maureen woke up some minutes ago. We raised her bed head and administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 9:45am Marrie and I changed and cleaned a heavy wet diaper , applied barrier film and cream, and performed a full body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. No redness observed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 10:10am Maureen’s enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie and 8oz prune juice with 1/4 cap Miralax for breakfast. Coughed twice and got out some phlegm.

• Maureen is very smiley today!!!

• 10:30am Administered Lisinopril and Loratadine with smoothie.

Daily Miralax dosage: 1/4 cap with 8oz prune juice.

• 10:30am Oral care.

• 10::50am We’re taking Maureen for a ride around the neighborhood to take advantage of the sunny day!

• 11:45am We are in the patio. Maureen is snoozing.

• 12:20pm Maureen’s still snoozing, very relaxed, in the chair.

• 12:55p m Maureen’s having lunch; Brussels sprouts soup, egg salad, fresh tomato and Greek yogurt, after taking a long rest outside. Coughed 4 times, sneezed twice. Maureen finished drinking her first cup of lemon water.

• 1:35pm Transferred Maureen inside.

• 1:40pmOral care.

• 1:55pm Headed Maureen to the bedroom for today’s rest break. Changed and cleaned a md wet diaper and positioned on her right side at 2:10.

• 3:10pm Today’s break ends. Changed and cleaned a md wet diaper and notice that a couple of pressure mark that we observed on the sacrum area during first change, looks the same as this morning, did didn’t fade. We washed, towel dried Maureen’s hair, applied moose.

• 3:30pm Facial routine performed. Headed Maureen to the front room.

• 3:40pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack.

Daytime summary

Thankfully Maureen woke up calm, there was no twitching or raised pulse. Started her day smiling a few times and even though she was mostly sleeping, she had a good day.
