Saturday January 8, 2022 Dayshift Update

• 7:00am Maureen is awake, chatting to herself. She is lying on her left side.

• 8:00am Our day begins with a complete bed bath. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray, applied barrier film to former pressure sore area, Cavilon barrier cream to appropriate areas, and put on a new diaper. Applied Tolcylen to both big toes and allowed to dry for at least 10 minutes.

• 8:24am Marie is helping Maureen through a set of exercises in bed.

• 8:44am Transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift.

• 8:55am Spoonful if honey followed by thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 9:00am Breakfast - bowl of oatmeal with a banana and 4 oz of prune juice with a cup of water.

  • Maureen coughed 4 times during breakfast. No red face.

• 9:36am Administered Lisinopril with applesauce and 20 mL Robitussin.

• 9:44am Oral care.

• 9:50am Facial routine.

• 10:00am We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner.

• 10:30am Fruit smoothie.

  • Maureen coughed twice. No red face.

• 11:30am We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is wet and she had a medium sized, formed bowel movement. We cleaned up, applied some more Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows placed behind her and the white block pillow placed in between her legs. Maureen will rest for one hour in bed starting at 11:40am.

• 12:40pm Rest period is over. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper.

• 12:48pm We washed Maureen’s hair. after, we transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift.

• 1:12pm Lunchtime - Ham sandwich with sliced tomato, homemade mushroom soup, and a bottle of organic coconut water.

  • Maureen did not cough. No red face.

• 1:43pm Administered 20mL Robitussin.

• 1:49pm Oral care.

• 2:30pm We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her right side with two green wedge pillows placed behind her and the white block pillow placed in between her legs. She will rest in bed for an hour starting at 2:40pm.

• 3:40pm Rest period #2 is over. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up, applied Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. We brought Maureen to the front room. She is sitting in the recliner.

• 3:55pm Fruit snack time.
