Saturday December 4, 2021 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is awake. She is lying on her left side.

• 8:15am Our day begins with a complete bed bath. Tolcylen applied on both right and left big toe and allowed to air dry at least 10 minutes. Maureen’s diaper is wet - cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray, applied the no sting barrier film to the former pressure sore, and Cavilon barrier cream to appropriate areas and put on a fresh diaper. No redness observed in the folds of Maureen’s skin.

• 8:40am Marie helped Maureen through a set of exercises and stretches in bed. Transferred Maureen to the Geri chair after using the Hoyer lift.

• 9:02am Maureen began breakfast with a spoonful of honey followed by her thyroid pill with applesauce. Maureen will eat her usual bowl of oatmeal with a banana complemented with 4 oz of prune juice and a cup of cold water.

  • Maureen coughed 3 times during breakfast.

• 9:28am Administered Lisinopril with applesauce.

• 9:32am Oral care. We also cleaned Maureen’s nose using a q-tip.

• 9:37am Facial routine.

• 9:56am We transferred Maureen to her recliner using the Hoyer lift. Now watching tv.

• 10:40am Smoothie time.

• 11:30am We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned and put on a new diaper.

• 11:35am Maureen will rest in bed for one hour. She is lying on her right side with two green wedge pillows behind her and the white block pillow in between her legs.

• 12:35pm Maureen’s rest break is over. Her diaper is wet and she had a small, formed bowel movement - we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray and put on a new diaper.

• 12:50pm Lunch time. Maureen will eat a serving of chicken soup, half of a ham sandwich with avocado mash and a bottle of organic coconut water.

  • Maureen coughed once during lunch and held the coconut water in her mouth twice.

• 1:25pm Oral care.

• 1:30pm We headed to the front room. Maureen is lying in the recliner.

• 2:10pm We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray, applied barrier cream, and put on a new diaper.

• 2:15pm Rest break #2. Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows placed behind her and the white block pillow placed in between her legs.

• 3:15pm Rest break has #2 ended. Maureen’s diaper is dry. We brought Maureen to the front room in her recliner.

• 3:40pm Visit with Sister Roberta.

• 3:50pm Fruit snack.
