Saturday April 9, 2022 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is still sleeping. Her diaper is wet. She is lying on her left side.

• 8:17am Our day begins with a complete bed bath. I gently cleaned the dried blood on Maureen’s right big toe using the Aloe Vesta cleansing foam. I applied a new bandaid after. Tolcylen applied to left big toe. Applied a thin layer of Nystatin under Maureen’s right breast due to slight redness to the area. Diaper is heavily wet - cleaned, applied no sting barrier film, Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper.

• 8:38am Marie is helping Maureen through a set of stretches and exercises in bed.

• 9:08am Spoonful of Manuka honey followed by thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 9:10am Breakfast - banana, oatmeal, 4 oz prune juice, and a cup of water.

• 9:44am Administered Lisinopril and Claritin with applesauce.

• 9:48am Oral care.

• 9:53am Morning facial routine including arms and hands.

• 10:00am We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner.

• 10:40am Organic fruit smoothie.

• 11:30am We headed to the bedroom for rest period #1. Maureen had a large, formed bowel movement. We cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen will lay for one hour on her right side starting at 11:40am.

• Our morning today was fair. Maureen was full of energy during her breakfast. She coughed 4 times. She began to lose energy during oral care and dozed off multiple times while sitting in the recliner. She coughed once while eating her fruit smoothie.

• 12:40pm Rest period #1 is over. Maureen’s diaper is dry. We got dressed and I proceeded to wash Maureen’s hair in bed. We transferred her to the Geri chair after where Marie applied the uplifting foam and brushed her hair.

• 1:03pm Lunch - pot roast, steamed carrots, homemade lentil soup, and a bottle of organic coconut water. Maureen also enjoyed a serving of rice pudding for desert.

• 1:54pm Oral care.

• 2:15 We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner.

• Maureen had low energy this afternoon. She was dozing off that prompted us to pause lunch multiple times until she was more alert to continue. She coughed three times. Maureen’s brother, Bart, is coming for a visit today so we decided to skip rest period #2.

• 2:30pm Bart and his son, Jack have arrived.

• 3:30pm We went to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is medium wet and she had a medium, soft bowel movement. We cleaned up, applied Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a fresh diaper. We returned to the front room after.

• 3:50pm Fruit snack.
