Saturday April 16, 2022 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is in and out of sleep.

• 8:38am Our morning begins with a complete bed bath. I applied a thin layer of Nystatin under Maureen’s left breast due to redness to the area. Tolcylen applied to big left toe. We cleaned Maureen, applied no sting barrier film and Cavilon barrier cream, put on a new diaper, and dressed for the day.

• 9:04am Marie is helping Maureen through a set of stretches and exercises in bed.

• 9:20am We transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:31am Spoonful of Manuka honey followed by thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 9:35am Breakfast - banana, oatmeal, 4 oz prune juice, cup of water.

• 10:09am Administered Lisinopril and Claritin with applesauce.

• 10:15am Oral care.

• 10:20am Morning facial routine including arms and hands.

• 10:31am We lowered Maureen’s Geri chair down one notch so as to provide relief to her sacrum.

• Our morning today was slower than usual. Maureen’s energy levels were fair. She coughed 4 times during breakfast. Low moan/groan began during oral care.

• 11:00am We headed to the bedroom for rest period #1. Maureen’s diaper is medium wet - we cleaned and changed. Maureen will lie on her right side for one hour starting at 11:14am.

• 12:14pm Rest period #1 is through. Maureen’s diaper is light wet - we cleaned and changed.

• 12:27pm I washed Maureen’s hair in bed. We transferred Maureen to the Geri chair after using the Hoyer lift. We headed to the kitchen where Marie styled Maureen’s hair using two handfuls of uplifting foam.

• 12:40pm Lunch - Mushroom soup, cheesy cauliflower, half turkey and cheese sandwich, and a bottle of organic coconut water.

• 1:06pm Oral care.

• 1:20pm We headed to the front room for Maureen’s upcoming appointment with Sister Roberta.

• 1:30pm Sister Roberta has arrived.

• 3:23pm We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is heavily wet - we cleaned, applied Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. We returned to the front room after.

• 3:58pm Fruit snack.
