8:00am Maureen is asleep lying on her left side. Tom tells me, she woke up calmly around 6:15, in out of sleep since then and receptive to zips of water via swab.
8:30am Maureen is still sleepy.
9:00am Maureen seems fully awake and ready for her day. Marríe and I started by giving her a full bed body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta, changed and cleaned a light wet diaper and applied Cavilon barrier and cream. We observed two new red spots on the chest area, and some redness on Maureen’s eyelids.Tom tells me they developed during a cough episode last night. We applied hydrocortisone to all new and existing red spots.Dressed and headed to the kitchen.
9:25am Administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce. Breakfast: oatmeal, 1/3 banana, 8oz diluted prune juice with water, cup of water. Coughed three times.
9:50am Administered Lisinopril and Loratadin.
10:00am Oral care and facial routine performed. Reclined Geri chair one notch.
10:20am Maureen’s snoozing on the chair.
10:45am Maureen’s enjoying half fruit smoothie. Coughed once.
11:00am Deanna is here to do Maureen’s hair. She dyed, washed and dried Maureen’s hair. Because of the busy morning schedule, we skipped first break and will then extend the afternoon one.
12:00m Lunch: potato soup, shrimp salad, fresh tomato, one cup of diluted coconut water. Today Maureen refused to drink water and only managed to take about 7/8 of both cups.
1:00pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for today’s break. Marrie and I changed and cleaned a heavy wet diaper and positioned on her right side starting at 1::15pm.
3:00pm Today’s break ends. We changed and cleaned a heavy wet diaper. Dressed and headed Maureen to the living room.
3:20pm Maureen is enjoying her fruits! She coughed twice.
Daytime summary
Red spots or redness aside, Maureen‘s day went by without unexpected events. Moderate energy level, but enough to go through her habitual daily routine. Early in the morning, she gave us a couple smiles :), that brightened our day.
