Response from Dr. Yucus

12cmurphy

Jan 25 4:00PM I just spoke with Dr. Yucus’ office. No blood test is needed tomorrow. He is changing the med to Depakote. It does not come in liquid. It is a pill. Its alternate form is like beads but is not as effective. A blood test is needed two weeks after starting this drug. I asked if she had a seizure. Since the seizure was not conclusive from the EEG, they can only go on the description given when she was taken to hospital. She definitely needs a med in his opinion. The impact of the drug she is on now should diminish in a few days. The script has been called into CVS. When we send message on a Friday afternoon, we should instead call the office and there is a neurologist on duty, especially if we think it is med related.
