  • 6:45AM - Maureen is sleeping. Diaper is dry.

  • Our day officially began @ 8:05AM. Maureen is in good form. She is chatty. Her diaper was wet. Maya and Colleen performed the entire clean and change process. They used the following 3M Cavilon products in the process, Cleanse Spray, Barrier Cream and No Sting Barrier Film.

  • Breakfast service commenced @ 8:35AM. Maya first administered the thyroid medication. Maureen's posture in the geri chair was good. We used both green wedge pillows to perfect her posture. She was slumping forward a bit. We tilted the geri chair back one notch.

  • Maureen coughed three times during breakfast and sneezed four times.

  • Daily MiraLAX dose: 1/2 cap

  • Maureen will consume approximately 4 ounces of prune juice today.

  • 9:05AM - Maya administered the blood pressure medication.

  • 9:10AM - Morning oral care routine begins

  • 9:25AM - Maya cleaned Maureen's eyelashes with Johnson's baby Shampoo and warm water. She also put drops in Maureen's eyes.

  • General observation @ 9:49AM> Maureen is more engaged and responsive than normal. It is nice to see and experience.

  • 10:20AM - Organic fruit smoothie

  • 10:50AM - We took Maureen to the bedroom. Her diaper was wet. While removing the pull up, we discovered a medium size soft bowel movement. As Colleen and Maya were doing the clean and change process, Maureen had another medium size loose bowel movement. Maureen also urinated as well. Colleen and Maya went through the entire clean and change process, put new clothes on Maureen and changed the bed linens.

  • 11:10AM - Maureen is now resting on her left side for one hour to relieve the pressure on her sacrum (lower back.)

  • 12:10PM - Maya and Colleen began the process of getting Maureen out of bed after her one hour rest. The pull up was slightly wet. They perfumed a standard clean and change. Maya also added a supplementary layer of 3M Cavilon Barrier Cream due to the multiple bowel movement beginning at 10:50AM.

  • 12:38PM - Lunch | 1/2 a tuna salad sandwich on toasted whole wheat, 1/2 bowl of lentil soup and a small serving of brussel sprouts. Maureen also enjoyed a small serving of rice pudding for desert.

  • 1:25PM - Afternoon oral care.

  • 2:20PM - Maureen is now set up on her right side for one hour of rest to relieve the stress on her sacrum (lower back).

  • 3:20PM - Colleen and Maya cleaned and changed Maureen. They got her out of bed after her one hour rest on her right side. It was off to the life recliner in the front room for the TPIR.

  • 3:35PM - Fruit snack.
