  • Maureen was awake since 6:30AM. She did not fall back asleep.

  • Maureen began her day @ 8:25AM. She is smiling occasionally this morning. Nasal congestion is almost nonexistent—no Flonase.. Click/tap here to view a detailed overview of the process Maya and I use to get Maureen ready for the day.

  • Breakfast service began @ 8:40AM. Posture in the geri chair is good. Maureen's neck is crooked somewhat hard to the right. We used the two green wedge pillows and the red couch pillow to set Maureen up perfectly. Click/tap here for detailed overview of the entire breakfast service process Maya and I use each day.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage - None

  • Maureen will consume 8 ounces of prune juice today.

  • 9:23AM - Morning oral care routine

  • 9:30AM - We tilted the geri chair back one level for Maureen's comfort and to relieve pressure off of her sacrum.

  • 9:40AM - Morning facial routine

  • 10:40 - Organic fruit smoothie

  • 11:00AM - We transported Maureen to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #1. Diaper was medium wet.

  • 11:15AM - Rest Break #1 begins.

  • General observations @11:29AM> The first part of the day was decent at best. Energy, engagement and communication were less than average. Maureen's neck was crooked somewhat heavy to the left through the time of the first rest break. Chewing and swallowing during breakfast were decent to good during breakfast—five coughs. The smoothie once again caused a lot of unexpected challenges. Things got so bad that Maya stopped serving it to Maureen at the halfway mark. Maureen started coughing from the get go. There were a total of 11 coughs—four of which were heavy red faced ones. She also sneezed five times during the smoothies. Maya and I noticed that the current bags of blueberries and cherries defrosted and then were refrozen. This is because the fruit in each bag is clumped together in ice. It might be possible that the fruit spoiled when it was allows to defrost.

  • 12:22PM - Rest Break #1 concludes. Diaper is light wet. After completing a clean & change, Maya and I transported Maureen to the kitchen for lunch.

  • 12:40PM - Lunch | Maya prepared a serving of Chesapeake Bay shrimp salad, 1/2 a bowl of homemade organic butternut squash soup and a serving go butternut squash and cranberries. Maureen will consume one 12 ounce bottle of of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water during lunch.

  • 1:22PM - Afternoon oral care

  • 2:00PM - We moved Maureen to the the bedroom in advance of Rest Break #2. Diaper was medium wet. Maya and I perfumed a clean & change and then set Maureen up on her right side.

  • 2:12PM - Rest Break #2 begins.

  • General observations @ 2:19PM - Lunch went much better than breakfast and the smoothie. All key metrics were at a higher level: energy, engagement and communications. Chewing and swallowing was acceptable—5 coughs.

  • 3:00PM - Rest Break #2 concludes. Diaper is medium wet. Maya and I cleaned and changed Maureen. We then transported her to the front room for the remainder of the afternoon.

  • 3:20PM - Afternoon fruit snack.
