  • Julie Krall, RN, Maureen's JourneyCare Nurse, made a special visit to the house to examine two areas: 1> The brown patch on Maureen's lower abdomen directly below her navel and 2> the thin red line across Maureen's waistline. Scroll through the attached image gallery to view both areas:

  • Since these images were taken this morning, a large majority of the red line across the waistline has faded away. The brown patch also does not look as irritated.

Treatment Protocol

  1. Julie directed us to apply a thin layer of Nystatin twice per day to any portion of the red line across the waistline that is visible to the naked eye.

  2. Keep an eye on the brown patch on the lower abdomen. At this time, we do not need to put any medication on it. The only key it to remain vigilant.
