November 1 daytime update

  • 8:00am Per Tom, Maureen has been in and out of sleep since 7:00am. She is lying on her left side.

  • 8:30am Maureen is still in and out of sleep.

  • 8:50am Maureen is now awake. We will begin shortly.

  • 9:15am Merianne and I helped Maureen to a sitting position in bed. Administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with applesauce.

  • 9:30am We begin our day with a full body bed bath. Maureen's diaper is medium wet - Merianne and I performed a clean and change. Applied Cavilon barrier film to the sacral area and Cavilon barrier cream to appropriate areas. We dressed. Next, we washed Maureen's hair. Transferred Maureen to the geri chair using the Hoyer lift.

  • 10:05am Merianne is expertly drying and styling Maureen's hair.

  • 10:18am Breakfast - smoothie. 6 oz prune juice. Administered 10mg Loratidine.

  • Daily MiraLAX - 1/2 cap

  • 10:30am Oral care.

  • 10:35am Merianna and I reclined Maureen's geri chair down one notch for her comfort.

  • 10:37am Morning facial routine.

  • 11:45am Carolyn came over for a visit.

  • 12:10pm Lunch - baked Mostaccioli, cup of root beer.

  • 1:00pm Oral care.

  • 1:10pm We headed to the bedroom for today's only rest break. Maureen's diaper is heavy wet. During the clean and change process, Maureen proceeded to have a large, formed bowel movement and another heavy wet diaper. We finished the clean and change process. Maureen will lie on her right side. Rest break begins at 1:30pm.

  • 2:15pm Diaper is dry. Merianne and I repositioned Maureen to her left side.

  • 3:00pm Rest break ends. Maureen's diaper is heavy wet - Merianne and I performed a clean and change. We headed to the front room using the Hoyer lift.

  • 3:25pm Fruit snack.
