Monday October 2, 2023 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen’s asleep, lying on her left side.

• 7:00am She woke up calmly 15 minutes ago. Suction pump was used to help remove some phlegm. Now Maureen’s accepting sips of water via swab.

• 7:30am Maureen’s sleepy.

• 8:00am Maureen is awake, she coughed out some more phlegm with the help of the suction pump.

• 8:20am Maureen is fully awake, we raised her bed head and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:30am Our day starts. Joanna and I performed an upper body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. No redness observed. Diaper was dry but we changed anyway and applied Cavilon barrier and cream. Dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.

• 8:50am Breakfast: 1/2 ripe pear, 6oz prune juice, oatmeal/fruit smoothie with 1tbs flaxseeds and couple spoons of Greek yogurt. Coughed twice.

• 9:30am Administered loratadine with smoothie.

• No Miralax.

• 9:35am Morning oral care.

• 9:45am Eyes care and eyes drops performed.

• 9:50am Facial routine.

• 10:00am Blood pressure: 118/84, P 75

• 10:10am Taking advantage of the nice warm weather, we take Maureen for a walk around the neighborhood. She was awake all the way.

• 10:55am Back home Maureen finished drinking 3/4 cup of lemon water.

• 11:05am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first break. Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her right side at 11:20.

• 12:10pm First break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.

• 12:25pm Lunch: Brussels sprouts soup, grilled shrimps, sliced beets, full cup of sparkling water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. No coughs.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 1:00pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm Maureen almost finished drinking her second cup of lemon water (3/4).

• 2:10pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second break. Diaper was heavy wet, cleaned and changed. As planned, a suppository was introduced. Positioned on her Lt side starting at 2:25.

• Maureen’s been awake and alert the whole day, she didn’t snoozed at all while sitting in the Geri chair.

• 3:10pm First break ends. Dia was md wet with an extra large-soft bowel movement, cleaned and changed. Dressed and headed Maureen to the front room.

• 3:40pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon comb).
