Monday October 16, 2023 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen’s lying on her left with Tom by her bedside, he tells me she‘s been in and out of sleep for awhile. She’s accepting sips of water via swab.

• 7:00am Maureen’s closing her eyes from time to time.

• 7:30am Maureen’s sleeping.

• 8:00am She’s still asleep.

• 8:35am Maureen is awake, we raised her bed head and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine pill with apple sauce.

• 8:45am Our day starts. Diaper was dry but we changed anyway, Joanna and I cleaned and applied Cavilon barrier and cream. Performed an upper body bath, no redness observed. Dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.

• 9:05am Maureen’s enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie with 1tbs flaxseeds, 6oz prune juice with 1/4 cap Miralax, and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for breakfast. She coughed twice, suction pump was used.

• 9:30am Administered 10mg loratadine with smoothie.

• Daily Miralax dosage: 1/4 cap.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 9:35am Morning oral care.

• 9:45am Eyes care and eyes drops.

• 9:50am Facial routine.

• 10:00am Blood pressure: 118/77, P 75.

• Carolyn visited Maureen;)

• Maureen snoozed for about 40 minutes after her morning routine.

• 11:00am Maureen finished drinking her first cup of lemon water.

• 11:10am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first break. Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her right side at 11:25.

• 12:10pm First break ends. Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:30pm Lunch: Chicken noodle soup, roasted red pepper hummus w/park crisps, full cup of sparkling water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. Maureen coughed once, used suction pump twice.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 1:10pm Oral care.

• Maureen seems rested getting up from her first break, she stayed very much alert and awake since.

• 2:00pm Maureen finished drinking her second cup of lemon water.

• 2:10pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second break. Cleaned and changed a heavy wet diaper with a small-formed bowel movement. Positioned on her Lt side starting at 2:25.

• 3:15pm Second break ends. Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed. Dressed and headed Maureen to the front room.

• 3:35pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi).
