March 14 daytime update

• 6.30 am- Maureen is awake, her diaper is dry.

• 7.00 am - the diaper is still dry.

• 7.40 am - diaper is wet. Maureen is snoozing on and off.

• Our day began at 8.45 am. Maureen is fully awake. We applied Tolcylen on her big toes. Changed the light wet diper , cleaned with Cavilon cleansing spray. Applied Cavilon barrier film on the pressure spot area, as usual.Applied Cavilon barrier cream and put a new diaper on. The belly fold has some redness. Cleaned with the warm washclothe and Aloe Vesta cleansing foam and applied Nystatin. Cleaned Maureen’s under arms , under breasts and inner elbow area with warm washcloth and Aloe Vesta cleansing foam. Dressed Maureen and transferred her to the Geri chair.

• 9.15 am - Started breakfast with a spoonful of Manuka honey, followed by a spoon of apple sauce and the thyroid pill. Maureen had a banana, oatmeal and a prune juice. After breakfast I administered the blood pressure medication. Maureen coughed 3 times during breakfast. She was chatty and in a good spirit. Maureen had a full cup of water.

• 10.00-Oral care. Eyes wash and face care followed.

• 11.00 am- Smoothie time. Maureen didn’t cough .

• 11.30 am- we transferred Maureen to the bedroom for a change and her first rest break. The diaper was medium wet. We cleaned with Cavilon cleansing spray and put a new diaper on. Turned Maureen on her right side with the two wedge pillows behind her back and the pillow between her legs. Maureen will rest for an hour starting at 11.45.

• 12.50 pm- Rest break is over. Maureen’s diaper is lightly wet. We cleaned using the Cavilon cleaning spray, put a Cavilon barrier cream and a new diaper on. Transferred Maureen to the Geri chair and headed to the kitchen.

• 1.10 pm- Lunch time. Maureen had a bowl of homemade chicken soup, half a ham and cheese sandwich and a homemade roasted vegetables( potatoes, carrots, celery, broccoli). Maureen enjoyed a bottle of coconut water. She coughed 4 times.

• Barb came to visit.

• 2.15 pm- Oral care

• 2.30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for a change and a rest break. Her diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed Maureen. Positioned her on her left side with the wedge pillows behind her back and a pillow between her legs. Maureen is enjoying Barb’s company.

• 3.30 pm- The rest #2 is over . The diaper is medium wet. We cleaned and changed Maureen. Transferred her to the transport chair and headed to the living room.

• 3.45 pm- Fruit time. Maureen coughed 2 times.
