Monday August 5, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen’s still asleep lying on her left side.

• 8:30am Maureen is awake, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce. She woke up calmly about 20 minutes ago, was receptive to sips of water via swab.

• 8:40am Tom and I started the day by giving Maureen an upper body bath using warmed purple wipes, no redness observed. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs area. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:00am Breakfast: Half sliced banana with a cup of lemon, oatmeal/fruit smoothie with spoonful of yogurt. Maureen coughed twice, suction pump used once.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch during breakfast, Maureen was leaning forward.

• 9:30am Administered 10mg loratadine with smoothie.

• Daily Miralax or Senna: None

• 9:40am Oral care.

• 9:50am Saline and albuterol Neb treatment.

• 10:00am Eyes wash/drops and facial routine.

• 10:30am Maureen’s sitting with relaxed hands and alert white watching the Olympic.

• Maureen had 3/4 cup of cranberry juice.

• 11:25am Blood pressure: 100/60, P 64.

• 11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, positioned on her right side.

• 12:30pm First break ends. Diaper it’s dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• Barb and Carolyn visit Maureen.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 12:45pm Lunch: Beans soup, tuna salad, avocado, full cup of sparkling water and yogurt for dessert. Coughed twice.

• 1:45pm Oral care.

• 2::20pm Maureen had 3/4 cup lemon water.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a medium wet diaper and positioned on her left side.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, dressed and headed to the living room.

• 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/apple/banana) with 1/4 cup of water.
