Monday, April 17 Daytime update

  • 6:30 am- Maureen has been in and out of sleep.

  • 7:00 am- Maureen is still in and out of sleep.

  • 7:30 am- Maureen opens her eyes at times, but goes back to sleep.

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is in and out of sleep

  • 8:15 am- Maureen is awake enough and ready to start the day. We brought the bed up add gave her the Levothyroxine with some apple sauce. Maureen had a few sips of water too. We put the bed down and proceeded with changing her. Diaper was medium wet. Joanna and I cleaned and applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. We next washed Maureen's upper body. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 8:45 am- Breakfast- oatmeal with 1/3 of banana , 8 oz of mixed prune juice with water. Maureen coughed twice. She finished her juice during breakfast.

  • 9:15 am- Morning oral care. We reclined Maureen's chair after.

  • 9:20 am- We cleaned Maureen's face with a washcloth and warm water only.

  • 10: 00 am- Maureen is relaxing in her chair, finishing her lemon water cup.

  • 10:40 am- Hall a smoothie. Maureen did not cough during the smoothie, but after finishing it, she sneezed twice and coughed three times with red face.

  • 11:00 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was heavy wet and she had a medium soft bowel movement. Joanna and I cleaned and changed her. Maureen will lie on her left side for an hour starting at 11:20 am.

  • 12:20 pm- First rest break ends. Maureen's diaper was dry. We dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 12:30 - Lunch- lamb and rice soup, chicken salad, steamed red beets and asparagus, cup of water mixed with coconut water. Maureen coughed twice. She finished her cup of coconut water mix.

  • 1:00 am- Maureen enjoyed Carolyn's visit.

  • 2:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was heavy wet. Joanna and I cleaned and changed her. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 2:15 pm.

  • 3:15 pm- Second rest break is over. Maureen's diaper was dry. We dressed and headed to the front room.

  • 3:30 pm- Fresh fruit snack. No coughs.
