  • 6:30AM - Maureen is going in and out of sleep.

  • 7:15AM - Maureen continues to go in and out of sleep. While she is awake, we are giving her sips of water form a mouth swab.

  • Maureen began her day @ 8:05AM. She is in good form—rasher chatty and verbal this morning. Congestion is minimal. The diaper is medium wet. Wednesday is bed bath day. Click/tap here for a detailed overview of the process Djon and I use each week.

  • Breakfast service began @ 8:40AM. Posture in the geri chair is very good. We inserted a green wedge pillow on each side of her per usual. There is a slight forward/left tilt. . Click/tap here for detailed overview of the entire breakfast service process Djon and I follow each day.

  • Since bowel movement activity is somewhat sporadic right now, we gave Maureen an additional two ounces of prune juice this morning.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

  • 9:10AM - Morning oral care

  • 9:30AM - We tilted the geri chair back one notch for Maureen's comfort and to relieve stress/pressure on her lower back.

  • 10:30AM - Organic fruit smoothie

  • 11:01AM - We headed off to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #1. Diaper was medium wet. After completing a clean & change, Djon and I placed Maureen on her left side. At the 30-minute mark, we will place Maureen on her back to avoid her neck getting crooked to the left.

  • 11:13AM - Rest Break #1 begins.

  • 12:16PM - Rest Break #1 ends. The diaper was light wet. Maureen also had a small formed bowel movement. After completing a clean & change, Djon and I began the process of getting Maureen ready to shampoo her hair. As we placed Maureen's head in the inflatable shampoo basis, all of the air came flowing out. Djon and I discovered a hole in the basin. As a result, we were not able to shampoo Maureen's hair today.

  • 12:48PM - Lunch | We served Maureen 1/2 of a ham, melted Swiss cheese and mayonnaise sandwich on toasted sourdough bread, 1/2 a bowl of organic pea and chicken soup and a serving of beets. Maureen will drink one 12-ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water. For dessert, Maureen will enjoy a small serving of rice pudding.

  • 1:35PM - Afternoon oral care

  • General observations @ 1:42PM> Lunch went well. Maureen continued to be very engaged, active and communicative. At one point, she told Djon to "get out." The one slight downside is the coughing—four coughs, with one being red faced. Other than that, it has been a wonderful afternoon.

  • 2:12PM - We took Maureen to the bedroom in advance of Rest Break #2. Diaper was medium wet. She had a small formed bowel movement. Djon and I performed a clean & change. We then placed Maureen on her right side.

  • 2:25PM - Rest Break #2 begins.

  • 3:07PM - Rest Break #2 ends. Diaper is medium wet. After completing a clean & change, Djon and I transported Maureen to the front room for the remainder of the afternoon.

  • 3:30PM - Fruit snack
