  • 6:35AM - Maureen is awake. She has been so since 5:30AM. Maya noted her diaper is wet.

  • 6:50AM - Maya changed Maureen's diaper and cleaned her thoroughly using warmed wipes from the purple packet.

  • The day officially commenced at 8:07AM. Maureen is in good form. Her diaper that Maya put on at 6:50AM was dry. Maya put on a new pull up. We noted no red marks of any kind on Maureen's posterior area.

  • Breakfast service began at 8:25. Maureen has tilted to the right since the moment we placed her in the day chair. That's somewhat new. Maya inserted a green wedge pillow in the day chair to straighten out Maureen's posture.

  • Maureen will drink 1/2 a glass of prune juice this morning.

  • Nasal congestion is nonexistent. We will not administer Flonase.

  • 8:42AM - Morning medications administered—baby aspirin and blood pressure

  • 8:51AM - Maureen's posture is much better this morning. She is not slumping forward very much so far this morning.

  • 9:10AM - Since the weather is perfect and Maureen's posture is good, we headed out for a stroll around the neighborhood.

  • 9:50AM - We returned to the house. It was a beautiful walk. Maya checked Maureen's pull up. It was dry. We headed to the front room and placed Maureen in the lift recliner.

  • 10:00AM - Organic fruit smoothie time. Nothing better after a nice stroll around the neighborhood.

  • 11:20AM - Maureen began to fidget more frequently in the recliner. Maya checked her pull up. It was wet. The urine also seeped through slightly to her shorts and the pad on the recliner. We took Maureen to the bathroom. Once on the commode, Maureen began to writhe around fairly frequently. This is usually a sign she has to move her bowels. After approximately 15-20 minutes, Maureen moved her bowels—two firm large pieces in the toilet. She did not urinate again. Maureen's posture on the toilet was good—not a significant amount of slumping. All in all, it was a very productive visit.

  • 12:03PM - Lunch | Chef Maya once again served Maureen homemade lentil soup and moussaka. She also cut up a tomato for Maureen. Maureen's posture in the dat chair is less than optimal. Her head is slumping significantly.

  • 12:48PM - Slumping continues to increase. Maureen has started to drool more often. Maya is currently trying to do some hand, arm and leg exercises with Maureen.

  • 1:10PM - Due to severe slumping in the day chair, we moved Maureen back to the lift recliner in the front room. Prior to doing so, Maya checked Maureen's pull up. It was dry.

  • 2:10PM - Maya checked Maureen's pull up. It was wet. Since Maureen had a large bowel movement earlier today, we took her to the bedroom to clean and change her. We used the Hoyer lift to move Maureen in and out of the bed.

  • 3:05PM - Fruit snack. Always delicious.
