June 21, 2021 Swingshift Update

• 4:00pm Maureen is lying comfortably on the recliner.

• 6:00pm Maureen’s pull-up is dry. We decide to skip trip to the bathroom.

• 6:10pm Dinner time. Maureen ate all of her sausage casserole courtesy of Carolyn and also had one cup of water. Maureen’s position was somewhat better tonight, we again found success in having Maureen put her elbows up on the arm rests to help keep her upright. Minimal drooling, no coughing throughout dinner.

• 7:09pm Administered 7.5mg OLANZAPINE with yogurt and 7.5mL VIMPAT. Oral care after.

• 7:21pm Maureen has begun to lose energy, lean forward even more, and drool.

• 7:38pm We decide to help Maureen in to bed with assistance of the Hoyer lift. Maureen’s pull-up is slightly wet. Cleaned thoroughly and put on a fresh diaper. We saw no redness on Maureen’s posterior. Applied Vicks to chest and both right and left big toe. Maureen is now lying on her left side.
