June 10 daytime update

• 6:35AM - Maureen is stirring lightly—sometimes sleeping and other times awake. She is chatting to herself somewhat frequently.

• 7:26AM - Maya just checked Maureen's diaper. It remains dry. Maureen continues to sleep lightly—chatting with herself at times.

• The day officially began @ 8:10AM. Maureen's diaper was wet. Maya cleaned Maureen with warmed wipes contained in the purple packet. She noted no red marks on Maureen's posterior area. She put on a fresh pull up and clean pair of shorts.

• Breakfast service began @ 8:30. Maureen is sitting upright nicely in the day chair—with no assistance. She is alert and engaged.

• Maureen will drink 1/2 a cup of prune juice this morning.

• There was no coughing at all during the breakfast service.

• Morning medications administered at 8:47AM—blood pressure and baby aspirin.

• Maureen looks a bit congested this morning. Her face is a bit red. We decided to administer a dose of Flonase into each nostril.

• 9:10AM - Maureen's energy has dissipated quickly. She has begun to slump directly forward. Her speech is not as clear. Drooling has ensured. Brow is furrowed.

• 9:35AM - Maureen's slump persisted. We decided to take her to the lift recliner. Before doing so, Maya checked Maureen's diaper. It was dry.

• 11:00AM - Maya checked Maureen's pull up. It was a bit wet. She also saw some fecal residue on her glove. We took Maureen to the bathroom. Waited 10 minutes. She did not urinate or move her bowels. As we were picking Maureen up, she had a large formed bowel movement. After sitting Maureen back down on the toilet, she expelled a large amount of urine.

• 12:20PM - Lunch—It's Pasta Thursday. Chef Brian expanded his repertoire by preparing mushroom stuffed ravioli with a marinara sauce.

• 12:50PM - Maureen has completely lost her energy. She is drooling almost uncontrollably. Maureen is consistently uttering a quiet moan in the day chair while we are sitting in the kitchen.

• 2:10PM - Maya checked Maureen's pull up. It was wet. Since Maureen had a sizable bowel movement earlier in the day, we decided to take Maureen to the bedroom to clean/change her. The urine seeped through to Maureen's shorts. Maya thoroughly cleaned Maureen and put on a new pull up and a fresh pair of shorts. We did not observe any red marks on Maureen's posterior.

• 2:45PM - Sr. Roberta arrived for a therapeutic massage/reiki session with Maureen.
