6:35AM - Maureen is partially awake/lightly stirring. Maya checked her diaper. It was wet. We proceeded to clean her with warm wipes from the purple packet and put on a fresh diaper. There were no red marks anywhere on her posterior.
The day officially began @ 8:05AM. Maureen is in good form. She is rather chatty this morning. Her diaper was dry. Maya cleaned her using warmed wipes from the purple packet and put on a fresh pull up. There were no red marks.
Breakfast service began @ 8:25AM. Maureen is currently sitting upright on her own tilting just slightly to the left and slumping forward a bit—no assistance from green pillow needed.
8:32AM - Maureen is looking pretty much straight forward this morning.
Maureen will consume 1/2 glass of prune juice this morning.
8:36AM - Slumping forward continues to get worse.
8:48AM - Blood pressure and baby aspirin administered
There is very little if any nasal congestion. We will not use Flonase today.
Maureen coughed 2-3 times during the breakfast service.
9:02AM - We inserted a green wedge pillow into the day chair in oder to provide a foundation for Maureen to place her right elbow so that she can sit a bit more upright. This helped improve her posture.
9:20AM - We had intended to take Maureen out for a stroll since the weather is so nice. It is not possible since her head is slumping forward significantly. We decided to take her to the lift recliner in the front room for a break. We hope to head outside for a stroll at 10:30AM after she has some time to rest in the recliner and enjoy her organic fruit smoothie.
9:30AM - Maya is going to do exercises with Maureen on her hands, arms and legs in the lift recliner.
10:05AM - Organic fruit smoothie time
10:45AM - We decided to take a risk and get Maureen out of the house for a stroll on such a beautiful day. Our walk commenced at 11:05AM. Maureen's posture was decent. She definitely enjoyed being out in the sun and seeing the flowers in the neighborhood.
11:35AM - Returned to the house. We immediately took Maureen to the lift recliner in front room.
12:45PM - On the way to lunch, Maya checked Maureen's pull up. It was wet. We took Maureen to the bathroom and waited 12-15 minutes. Nothing else happened while she was on the toilet. Maya commented that the pull up was heavy wet. She cleaned Maureen thoroughly and put on a fresh pull up. There were no red marks on Maureen's posterior.
1:00PM - Pasta Thursday. Pasta, Gianatti's Marinara Sauce and freshly ground parmesan cheese. Who could ask for anything more?
2:00PM - Maureen remained in the day chair after lunch. Her posture was decent to good. Maya is currently doing some additional hand, arm and leg exercises with her.
GENERAL OBSERVATION> Maureen's posture was defiantly better today. That being said, her head was slumped down 10-15 degrees for most of the day.
2:30PM - Maya checked the pull up. It was wet. We proceeded to the bathroom and waited approximately 15 minutes. Nothing happened on the toilet. Maya cleaned Maureen throughly and put on a fresh pull up. There were no red marks on Maureen's posterior.
