Friday September 24, 2021 Dayshift Update

• 6:40am Maureen is lightly stirring. She is lying on her left side.

• 7:30am Maureen is awake. Diaper is slightly wet. Repositioned to her right side.

• 8:30am Our day begins. Maureen’s diaper is slightly wet - cleaned thoroughly with 3M cleanser spray. Applied Mupirocin to open areas and Cavilon barrier cream to inner thighs and around the rectum area. Put on a new pull-up and transferred to Geri chair using the Hoyer lift.

• 9:05am Replaces Maureen’s upper and lower partials and administered thyroid medication prior to breakfast.

• 9:24am Maureen finished her breakfast - oatmeal, a banana, and half a cup of prune juice with a full cup of water.

• 9:26am Administered LISINOPRIL and baby aspirin. Oral care after followed by facial cleanse routine. We also washed Maureen’s eyelashes with baby shampoo and gave her eye drops in each eye.

• 9:50am Visit with Carolyn.

• 10:28am Maureen’s pull-up is heavily wet so we headed to the bedroom for a change. Cleaned thoroughly, applied Cavilon barrier film to pressure sore area, put on a new pull-up, and transferred from bed to day chair using the Hoyer lift.

• 11:20am We will go for a stroll around the neighborhood. We returned at 12:00pm.

• 12:15pm Maureen’s pull-up is dry.

• 12:35pm Lunchtime. Maureen will eat half a ham sandwich, a serving of Brussels sprouts, homemade green pea soup, and a bottle of organic coconut water.

• 1:36pm Maureen’s diaper is wet so we headed to the bathroom. Pull-up is medium wet. After ten minutes, Maureen did not urinate or move her bowels. Returned to the recliner after.

• 3:00pm Fruit snack time.

• 3:48pm Maureen’s pull-up is slightly wet so we headed to the bathroom. After some pushing, Maureen had a small, formed bowel movement. We cleaned up and returned to the recliner in the front room.
