Friday October 20, 2023 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen’s asleep with Tom by her side.

• 7:00am Maureen opened her eyes, she’s receptive to sips of water via swab.

• 7:30am Maureen’s sleepy.

• 8:15am Maureen is awake, we raised her bed head and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine pill with apple sauce.

• 8:25am Our day starts, we give Maureen an upper body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. Diaper was dry but Marianne and I changed anyway, applied Cavilon barrier and cream. No redness observed. Dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.

• 8:40am Maureen’s enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie with 1ts flaxseeds, 8oz prune juice with 1/2 cap Miralax and couple spoons of Greek yogurt. Coughed once.

• 9:00 Administered 10mg loratadine with smoothie.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• Daily Miralax dosage: 1/2 cap.

• 9:10am Morning oral care.

• 9:20am Blood pressure: 115/78, P 77.

• 10:00am Maureen’s closing her eyes from time to time, she’s been taking sips of water in between.

• 10:30am Maureen finished drinking her first cup of lemon water.

• 11:00am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first break. Diaper was md wet with a small-soft BM, cleaned and changed . Positioned on her right side at 11:15.

• As a general remark regarding Maureen’s coughing and phlegm secretion, so far today‘s been within the normal.

• 12:15pm First break ends. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper, dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.

• 12:30pm Lunch: Veggies soup, shrimp salad, sliced beet, full cup of sparkling water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. Maureen coughed once during meal.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 1:00pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm She had half cup of lemon water.

• Maureen’s been awake and alert while listening to her favorite songs.

• 2:10pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second break. Cleaned and changed a heavy wet diaper with a small-soft BM. Positioned on her left side at 2:25.

• 3:15pm Second break ends. Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed. Dressed and headed Maureen to the front room.

• 3:35pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi). Also had half cup of lemon water. Coughed once.
