Friday November 3, 2023 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen’s asleep lying on her left with Tom by her side. He tells me, she opened her eyes earlier going back to sleep soon after.

• 7:00am She’s in and out of sleep.

• 7:30am Maureen’s been accepting sips of water via swab. 8:00am Maureen’s sleepy, closing her eyes from time to time.

• 8:30am Maureen’s sleeping.

• 9:00am She’s awake now, looking still sleepy though. We raised her bed head and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce. She closed her eyes for a few minutes while on her back.

• 9:15am Our day starts. Diaper was dry but we changed anyway and applied Cavilon barrier and cream. Washed Maureen’s upper body with warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. There’s still a slight visible redness by her right armpit, applied a thin layer of nystatin. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:35am Maureen’s enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie with 1tsp flaxseeds, 8oz prune juice with 1/2 cap Miralax and couple spoons of Greek yogurt. She coughed three times and sneezed once, used the suction pump twice and once while in bed to help remove some phlegm.

• 10:00am Administered 10mg loratadine with smoothie.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• Daily Miralax dosage: 1/2 cap.

• 10:15 Morning oral care.

• 10:30am Maureen seems to be a little congested, she’s been sneezing some more after breakfast and the sound of phlegm keeps rumbling. We decided to give her a saline Neb treatment.

• 10:45am Facial routine.

• 11:00am Blood pressure: 110/78, P 74.

• Maureen napped right after her morning routine for like 30 minutes.

• 11:30am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first break. Diaper was heavy wet with a medium-soft bowel movement, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her right side starting at 12:45.

• 12:30pm First break ends; diaper was dry, dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.

• 12:40pm Lunch: Pumpkin soup, 1:2 grilled cheese sandwich with tomato/spinach salad on the side, full cup of sparkling water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. Reclined Geri chair one notch, Maureen was leaning forward. She coughed twice, suction pump was used.

• 1:20pm Oral care.

• She stayed awake and alert after lunch, meanwhile finishing her first cup of lemon water.

• 2:30pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second break. Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her left side at 2:45.

• 3:20pm Second break ends. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper, dressed and headed to the front room.

• 3:40pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi). Also had half cup of lemon water. Coughed once.
