Friday May 3, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen looks sleepy, lying on her left side.

• 8:25am Maureen seems fully awake, we raised the bed to as administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:35am Merianne and I started our day giving Maureen an upper body bath using warmed purple wipes, no redness observed. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 8:55am Maureen had 8oz prune juice with a full cap of Miralax before breakfast.

• 9:15am Breakfast: Oatmeal/blueberries pancake with Greek yogurt and banana, and coffee. Maureen coughed twice, suction pump used.

• 9:30am Administered 10mg Loratadine with yogurt.

• Daily Miralax dosage: full cap.

• 9:40am Oral care.

• 9:50am We decided to treat Maureen with a saline neb therapy, she sounds phlegmy.

• 10:00am Facial routine performed.

• 10:30am Maureen’s sitting relaxed and awake watching a Disney movie.

• 11:00am Blood pressure: 100/59, P 64.

• Maureen had a cup of lemon water.

• 11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper was heavy wet, cleaned/changed and applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs area, then positioned on her right side.

• 12:30pm First break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:40pm Lunch: Veggies soup, shrimp salad, beets, full cup of root beer and chocolate cookie with yogurt for dessert. Coughed once, suction pump used.

• Reclined Geri chair during meal, Maureen was leaning forward.

• 1:30pm Oral care.

• Maureen stayed well awake the time, after lunch, listening to her playlist. Finished drinking 2/3 cup of ginger tea in the meantime.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change heavy wet diaper and Small-soft BM, then positioned on her left side.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper was medium wet, clean/change. Dressed and headed to the living room.

• 3:45pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi).

• Barb visits Maureen.
