Friday July 26, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen is lying on her left with Tom by her side. He tells, Maureen woke up earlier, around 7:15am, had few sips of water and went back to sleep.

• 8:20am Maureen seems fully awake, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:30am Merianne and I started our day by giving Maureen an upper body bath using warmed purple wipes, no redness observed. Clean/change a dry diaper with slight amount of yellowish vaginal discharge, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum and barrier cream to inner thighs area. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 8:50am Breakfast: Coffee, pear, oatmeal/blueberries pancake with yogurt and strawberries jam, and a cup of lemon water. Coughed twice.

• 9:30am Administered 10mg Loratadine with smoothie.

• Daily Miralax or Senna dosage: None

• 9:40am Oral care.

• 9:50am Facial routine performed.

• 10:00am We go with Maureen for a walk around the neighborhood. She stayed alert all the way.

• 11:00am Back home, Maureen had a cup of cranberry juice.

• 11:20am Blood pressure: 103/65, P 60.

• Barb visits Maureen.

• 11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Clean/change a medium wet diaper with slight - clear vaginal discharge, then positioned on her right side.

• 12:30pm First break ends. Clean/change a medium wet diaper; no vaginal discharge observed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:45pm Lunch: Grilled ham and cheese sandwich, fresh tomato, full cup of root beer and peach malt for dessert. Coughed three times and nose was runny during meal.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• After lunch, Maureen had a sneezing episode with red face, sneezing six times.

• 1:30pm Oral care.

• 1:40pm Saline and albuterol Neb treatment.

• 2:00pm Maureen sits with relaxed hands and alert listening to her playlist.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a medium wet diaper and positioned on her left side. No vaginal discharge observed.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper it’s dry, dressed and headed to the living area.

• 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi) and 1/4 cup of water.
