Friday August 9, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen woke calmly about 10 minutes ago. She had few sips of water via swab after.

• 8:15am Maureen’s awake, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:25am Merianne and I started our day giving Maureen an upper body bath using warmed purple wipes, no redness observed. Clean/change a medium wet diaper (cloudy) with some light brown vaginal discharge on it, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs.

  Dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 8:45am Breakfast: Fresh pear, coffee, oatmeal/blueberries pancake with strawberry jam, 6oz orange juice with 1tbs Metamucil, and a cup of lemon water. Coughed twice.

• 9:25am Administered 10mg Loratadine and 500mg METRONIDAZOLE (crushed) with Activia yogurt.

• Daily Metamucil dosage: 1tbs

• 9:35am Oral care.

• 9:45am Facial routine performed.

• 10:10am We go with Maureen for a walk around the neighborhood. She stayed alert all the way.

• 11:10am Blood pressure: 104/62, P 77.

• Maureen had half cup of lemon water.

• 11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper it’s dry, positioned on her right side.

• Carolyn visits with lunch!

• 12:30pm First break ends. Clean/change a heavy wet diaper (darker because of the metronidazole); no vaginal discharge observed. Dressed any headed to the kitchen.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 12:45pm Lunch: Grilled shrimp salad, full cup of coconut water and ice cream for dessert. Coughed five times and her nose was runny.

• 1:40pm Administered 500mg METRONIDAZOLE (crushed) with apple sauce.

• 1:50pm Oral care.

• 2:20pm Maureen sits with relaxed hands and fully awake while listening to her playlist.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a, on medium wet diaper with a slight vaginal discharge, and then positioned on her left inserted a suppository.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Clean/change a dry diaper with a Large-formed BM (half of it was hard). Dressed and headed to the living area.

• 3:50pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi), with half cup of water.
